Exciting new line of Android PDAs coming to SA

Newland proudly introduces its new line of Android-based smartphone PDAs, "Newland Symphones".

A range of exciting new Android PDAs is to be introduced to the South African market in the next 12 months, all semi-rugged cross-over design of smartphone and traditional PDA products that are perfect for use in logistics, retail and industrial environments.

The PDAs have a thickness of less than 9.3mm, integrated with the smallest 2D imager in the world. This set of PDAs will offer IP65 sealing, daylight readable displays, 1.5m drop test certification, 4G compatibility, Android OS support up to 5.1, and new management support applications.

The first Symphone to be released is the N5000. The N5000 features a 5-inch PCAP touch-screen, dual core CPU and has extensive features such as 1D/2D, GPS, NFC, WiFi and BlueTooth. A datasheet can be downloaded from http://newland-id.com/ProductDocuments/Symphones/N5000_Version1.0.pdf.

A totally new product coming out later this year is the Newland W100 wearable scanner, which will fit on all major smartphones, and supports Android and iOS. A winner!
