Technology company EMC has appointed an acting country manager after the death of Inana Nkanza last week.
The company on Thursday said its Southern African country manager Inana Nkanza passed away on 26 July after a short illness.
Servaas Venter will be acting as country manager for EMC Southern Africa until a new appointment has been made, says EMC.
Venter was previously the company's area manager.
EMC said Nkanza was an extraordinary leader who inspired all of those around him and encouraged them to achieve their dreams and reach their ultimate potential.
He held positions of leadership in some of the world's and South Africa's most successful and influential high-technology companies.
Nkanza helped steer the likes of Sun Microsystems, Computer Associates, Software Futures, CCH and MGX.
