Security professionals are trying to keep up with the expanded network perimeter and the increased number of threats and level of sophistication of cyber attacks. Technological enhancements have enabled adversaries to leverage cloud-scale automation and artificial intelligence (AI) to launch attacks on enterprises. With the goal of bypassing traditional security platforms, adversaries use automation capabilities to rapidly morph attacks because the constant change and mutation makes them much harder to detect. These attacks cause disruption to business operations and often lead to data loss through theft or destruction. The impact of these cyber attacks can result in loss of revenue, market reputation and customers, especially when personal identity information is lost.
As organisations move more applications to the cloud and add remote users, the network perimeter expands. Organisations are more exposed and have more places where they store and access data and more devices to secure and manage while dealing with changes to data flow. Organisations are changing their operations in order to adapt to business and societal changes, which is driving cloud adoption and remote work. All of this drives an organisation’s need for better visibility, flexibility of deployment, security for exposed areas and centralised control of their security infrastructure.
The eBook describes how organisations can prevent cyber threats and how Palo Alto Networks protects and secures the network by using machine learning powered firewalls. This eBook also includes specific examples of overcoming cyber threats.
