Dimension Timber opts for SAP Business One solution from Lorge

A real-time, fully integrated manufacturing, financial and stock control software solution for added-value timber, plywood and veneer manufacturer Dimension Timber Holdings of Benoni is being installed and commissioned by mid-market ERP solutions provider Lorge.

The SAP Business One ERP financial software solution, designed to meet the needs of SME businesses, will control and streamline financial, production, warehousing, distribution and materials requirement planning, as well as service management and customer relationship management (CRM) for Dimension Timber Holdings.

"It is important for the ongoing success of the business that Dimension Timber Holdings is able to fully integrate its manufacturing and stock systems," says Alex Viviers of Lorge corporate sales.

Dimension Timber Holdings and its subsidiary Primrose Ply supply 300 different veneer species to manufacturers of office furniture, kitchens and shop fronts and interiors. A wide range of interior doors and panels in sequence, slip-matched, book-matched or plank-formed is also turned out at the Apex Industrial Park factory.

Viviers adds that the benefits Dimension Timbers will realise from the SAP Business One solution include overall streamlining of warehousing, stockholding and distribution, and customer relationship management data. Strong reporting functionality will ensure information is quickly and easily available to management. The installation is due to go live at the end of April.
