Dell has appointed Dr Walid Moneimne as vice-president of the company`s Enterprise Systems Group and Services (ESG) business unit for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The Enterprise Business unit incorporates industry standard servers, storage and related services.
Moneimne will report to Paul Bell, President, Dell Europe, Middle East and Africa and will be responsible for server and storage product marketing and product management; pricing and demand/supply forecasting; pre-sales technical support; alliances with key partners such as Microsoft, Intel, EMC, Oracle Red Hat, SAP, and Siebel, as well as other middleware and Internet software providers; and value-added services in support of enterprise product sales.
Moneimne, who joined the company this week, is the former leader of Compaq`s European Enterprise Business Solutions Group.

He also knows what enterprise computing customers want in terms of services and will help increase our sales of enterprise-related services."
Moneimne has 18 years of sales, marketing, business development and general management experience in technology or technology-related companies. For the last seven years Moneimne has helped Compaq expand its business across EMEA. Responsibilities included developing Compaq`s presence in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa markets; establishing strategies for sales and channel development across EMEA; and managing the Enterprise Business Group which included industry standard server, enterprise storage, and business critical server activities.
Moneimne holds an engineering degree in computer science from ENSIMAG, France, a PhD in computer science from the University of Grenoble, and an MBA from ISA France/Wharton.
