defenceWeb bringing unrivalled coverage to IDEX 2013

By defenceWeb
Johannesburg, 17 Jan 2013

defenceWeb is honoured to be an official media partner of IDEX 2013, the biggest defence show in the Middle East and Africa. defenceWeb will provide top quality coverage of this highlight event from Abu Dhabi next month.

defenceWeb was personally invited to IDEX 2013 by Rear Admiral Ibrahim Salem Mohamed Al-Musharrakh, Head of the UAE Navy, during the Indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS) 2012 in Cape Town. This is an excellent indication of its high level of involvement in Middle East and North Africa (MENA) defence matters, and its close relations with the key decision-makers in the military.

The International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) 2013, to be held from 17 to 21 February, is the only tri-service exhibition in the Middle East and North Africa, and is thus an opportunity that cannot be missed by anyone in the region who is serious about defence and security. The event will be visited by over 80 000 visitors, all with a key interest in defence and security matters.

defenceWeb has become the marketing medium of choice for various global brands due to its involvement in high-level expos like IDEX, and it is expecting the demand for marketing options leading up to and during IDEX 2013 to exceed that of any other event to date, due to its proven ability to deliver phenomenal exposure to its clients.

With the loyal support of its global clients, defenceWeb has soared to dizzy heights over the last couple of years, and has seen growth that has been fantastically promising given the youthfulness of the company. It expects to continue on its path to the stars, especially following the success of its coverage of recent shows, such as IONS 2012, IDEAS 2012 in Pakistan, and Africa Aerospace and Defence 2012 in South Africa. With extra staff on board, the company can promise top quality daily reporting from IDEX 2013, providing its advertisers with maximum exposure to a highly targeted audience.

IDEX 2013 will feature 12 indoor exhibition halls, a first-time-exhibitor zone, vehicle demonstration track, helicopter demonstration area, maritime security area and unmanned systems area. One of the other highlights is the Gulf Defence Conference, to be held on 16 February.

Daily displays will take place on the specially built vehicle demonstration track, while vessels will be demonstrated every day at the waterfront. In addition, unmanned systems and helicopters will also be demonstrated during the five-day show, with the unmanned area being an exciting new addition to IDEX.

As part of defenceWeb's strategy of expanding and consolidating its presence in Africa and the Middle East, it is ensuring a presence at the biggest and most important defence shows in the region.

With immense support from a highly loyal customer base, defenceWeb is guaranteeing them the exposure and coverage that befits Africa's leading online defence and security news publication.
