HPE South Africa's 2021partner awards, held last night, saw Datacentrix win six awards.
In his online welcome address, MD President Ntuli reinforced the company's vision he shared at last year's awards – to have all offerings delivered as-a-service by 2022 through its hybrid cloud management tool GreenLake.
He said that last year’s goals had been to grow the market share in its server and storage products, both of which were fulfilled: server platforms saw 4.4% year-on-year growth, and external storage grew 7.2%. Its hyperconverged systems however declined by 7.7%. Ntuli said this decline would be offset by growth opportunities in its Nimble Storage product.
He also said the company wanted to take advantage of the growth potential in the local cloud market.
“We're very happy with GreenLake's growth. It's seeing growth in sectors such as manufacturing where customers are beginning to adopt it. Our main goal now is to drive channel growth in SMMEs."
HPE's UK, Ireland & MEA MD Marc Waters said the company's mission is to advance the way people work using cloud technology.
“We're in good shape as a business. We're focusing on stabilising our core opportunities. Aruba is a great example as HPC had a phenomenal 2020 and we've seen incredible growth in solutions built on Nimble. We want to accelerate the transition to everything-as-a-service to enable organisations to transform quickly."
