Datacentrix donates books to local school children

Johannesburg, 14 Apr 2008

IT solutions and services provider, Datacentrix, has partnered with Biblionef to donate R100,000 worth of books to school children from Kutumela Molefi and Boschkop Primary Schools, Lesedi High School and the Kungwini Early Learning Centre.

Providing books to children from three to 18 years in the disadvantaged areas of developing countries, Biblionef South Africa was founded in 1998, is a correspondent of UNICEF and is recognised as a book providing agency by UNESCO and the Council of Europe. Says Nteseng Maboe, group marketing and communications manager, Datacentrix: "For many children in the world, reading is a luxury.

With this in mind, Datacentrix decided to partner with Biblionef to help promote the development of early learning in children by providing them with the necessary reading material.

"Datacentrix believes that Biblionef plays an important role in supporting our education system particularly in developing reading skills through projects such as libraries and the supply of books to school children."
