Cyber Retaliator Solutions looks to a major growth in requirement for EDR in African markets

What is EDR?

For those who do not know, EDR stands for “endpoint detection and response”. This is a system that will gather all the necessary information from endpoints (workstations and other devices) to correctly determine security breaches in real-time, as they are happening, and offer a quick response to the potential threats.

This is the step up required from legacy anti-virus that organisations relied on previously. This is not to say that legacy anti-virus does not serve a purpose but should be treated now as a step in a grand scheme of multi-layered security infrastructure.

EDR has the main purpose of super-charging your infrastructure to cope with threats, known and unknown. This gives further emphasis that it is developed for all those threats to come – that ransomware that has not been seen, that malware that black hats have just developed to rival AVs or just general behaviour anomalies.

This is added as a layer on top of your traditional anti-virus so that your organisation is able to detect potential threats at a pre-execution level, as well as an in-memory (real-time) level.

Where does ReaQta come in?

ReaQta is an EDR/MDR (managed detection and response) solution powered by AI, developed with analysts in mind. It originates from Netherlands and has headquarters in both the Netherlands as well as Singapore.

ReaQta has made substantial growth in Europe and is taking Africa by storm and is a no-brainer EDR solution for organisations to stay up to date with innovation and threats of the future in a way that is cost-effective and an ease on workforce demand. This caters to the job markets where cyber security analysts are so under-saturated.

What makes ReaQta unique?

As mentioned, ReaQta is an AI-powered solution. This means that it is intuitive and provides the processing power that humans are not capable of. This also assists analysts with dealing with alerts through the newly released Cyber Assistant that will respond to alerts autonomously, based on the analyst’s interaction with the solution.

The agent boasts a NanoOS, which provides deep visibility into the processes and applications running on endpoints. It sits at the hypervisor layer and protects the endpoint from outside the operating system, making it invisible and tamper-free to malware and attackers.

Finally (but not in the slightest the final feature), ReaQta offers custom detection strategies (DESTRA), which implements custom playbooks based off triggering policies that can be set by an analyst. This will trigger custom scripts to run in an environment. This is definitely a powerful tool to have in an EDR solution.

As a technical account specialist, I have experienced the technical innovations of ReaQta that exceed market expectation in every way, leaving end-users secured and content with their security posture after implementation.

I bridge the gap between partners and vendors abroad to bring this comprehensive EDR/MDR solution to clients across Africa and ReaQta is most definitely the EDR of the future.

Where does Cyber Retaliator Solutions fit into this?
