Cordys selected by Valeo to provide workflow to 30 000 Google Apps users

Global industrial supplier builds its office in the cloud.

Valeo, one of the world's leading automotive suppliers, has selected Cordys to enrich Google Apps for Business with new business apps and cloud-based workflow for 30 000 users.

This global company introduced Google Apps for Business to its 30 000 connected employees in order to increase administrative efficiency and improve collaboration between almost 200 locations in over 28 countries. This project resulted in one of the world's largest Google Apps implementations to date.

As a next step, Valeo will now use Cordys Process Factory to add cloud-based workflow to Google Apps and to integrate it with its enterprise systems. As such, the Cordys Process Factory provides a secure platform for fast and easy development and deployment of business apps in the cloud.

“In line with our cloud-based office information system strategy, whose implementation has started with the introduction of Google Apps for Business, we have selected Cordys to provide a simple cloud-based solution for workflow and MashApps. The aim is to optimise our administrative processes in order to focus on value-added activities,” said Beate Lippold, Communications Manager for Office Solutions at Valeo Group.

“Cordys Process Factory represents a new generation of business application development and deployment," said Per Jonsson, CEO at Cordys. “The Cordys Process Factory allows our customers to mix and match on-premise enterprise applications and data with Google Apps and other information from the cloud, thereby reducing and rationalising the number of small business applications built in platforms such as Lotus Notes.”

“Our platform is gaining considerable attention from leading companies moving to Google Apps," said Hans de Visser, Chief Marketing Officer at Cordys. "These companies recognise the tremendous benefits which can be achieved by adding workflow on top of Google Apps and integrating Google Apps with on-premise business software. The Cordys platform has been developed to do just that: bridging the gap between the cloud and the enterprise.”

Cordys is working closely together with Capgemini, which provides the services in this highly innovative initiative.

“This is the first Google-Workflow project of this size on the planet and we are happy to have Capgemini as an experienced and reliable partner at our side,” added De Visser.
