"Condyn was contacted by our partners regarding a conference that was held at Sun City last weekend where a comment was made on Internet Security Systems` (ISS) current and future financial status," says Jorina van Rensburg, CEO of Condyn.
"It is extremely sad that certain security companies in SA use these false methods to convince clients to buy their products. I always believed that the client`s decision should be based on technology and not on rumours. We have contacted ISS for their comments and the following comment was given by Pim van der Poel, Director, Business Management Europe"
"A company, which held a seminar last weekend in Sun City, stated that ISS in Europe has released 40% of its workforce and that ISS as a company is in financial problems.
"First of all, the new ISS product line `Proventia` has been very well accepted by all markets and we see an enormous demand for our products due to the innovative technology we have launched. Very recently ISS has launched another member of its Proventia family, the M-Series. This innovative product combines technologies for firewall, anti-virus, intrusion protection, content filtering, etc, in one protection offering, thus saving on security operations costs and increase in ease-of-use.
"ISS in Europe is doing very well and there is no reason to believe that we [would] release that amount of people across Europe while doing so well. I have attached our Q3 earnings press release and Q4 outlook press release in which ISS states its profitability and its continuous determination for bringing out new innovative protection solutions."
