Technology distributor, Comztek, has reaffirmed its commitment to the rest of Africa with the appointment of Tiens Lange as business unit manager for the rest of Africa.
The appointment facilitates Comztek's planned growth in the rest of Africa. It also highlights Comztek's continued support of its vendors and resellers in the region, and the company's commitment to delivering best-of-breed products, solutions and support to its African customers.
In his new role, with effect from 1 October 2009, Lange will be responsible for all operations, related administrative services and support functions within the business unit. This involves driving the development of the brands Comztek distributes within the region, nurturing the relationships with the vendors of these brands, and ensuring the general development of the rest of Africa market.
“This is a big step, with considerable challenges ahead and a lot of hard work involved,” says Tiens Lange. “But I am very positive. I enjoy a challenge and the team that is already in place is a good team.”
“As a promising growth region, Africa is a key target market where we are increasingly expanding our footprint,” says Comztek managing director, Paul Conradie. “This appointment will help drive Comztek's aim to be the preferred partner for all communication requirements.”
Lange was previously Comztek's Channel Manager for 3Com, during which time he was actively involved in driving Comztek's 3Com operations in the Indian Ocean Islands market.
