Competition Commission approves Business Connexion, Arinso SA joint venture

The Competition Commission of South Africa has unconditionally approved a joint venture transaction between Business Connexion and NorthgateArinso.

The essence of the joint venture is the fact that NorthgateArinso's South African affiliate, Arinso SA ("Arinso SA"), has acquired Business Connexion's Human Capital Management business unit, Q Data DynamiQue ("QDD") in exchange for 50% in the share capital of Arinso SA, resulting in a new organisation - NGA Africa.

The merged businesses of QDD and Arinso SA will create an organisation that will deliver human capital management services and technologies that support business outcomes for local, multinational and public sector organisations across the African continent. These services and technologies will cover the whole spectrum of human resources (HR) and payroll as well as workforce and security management.

NGA Africa will provide a trusted service and be a solution partner to current and future clients, with an absolute focus on the human capital management market, underpinned by Business Connexion's Data Centre capabilities and NorthgateArinso's best practice global processes, delivery centres and technology. The solutions offering will cover an end-to-end range from SME to enterprise solutions.
