South African distributor, Channel Data recently walked away with Quantum Corporation`s coveted "Innovation Partner of Year" award at the annual Quantum Alliance Conference held in Estoril, Portugal for EMEA partners.
Partners from all over EMEA as well as top executives from Quantum, including company president Rick Belluzzo, attended the conference, aptly called "Rediscover Quantum".
The award was presented to Channel Data at a gala event held at the Hotel Palacio. "We`re honoured and want to thank Quantum for the recognition given to our innovative approach to promoting Quantum products to the local marketplace," comments Amit Parbhucharan, technology marketing director at Channel Data.
Channel Data has implemented solutions with Quantum`s DX-Series to help resellers and their customers deal with today`s backup and recovery challenges; requirements for high-performance, high-capacity recovery systems while keeping costs at a minimum.
Quantum`s disk-based backup solutions, the DX-30 and DX-100, enable customers to integrate disk in their existing storage environments through the use of tape emulation.

The "Rediscover Quantum" conference offered Quantum`s EMEA partners the opportunity to attend live demonstrations and network with executives and peers.
Channel partners also received important information on the company`s enhanced channel programmes which include Quantum Alliance (www.quantum-alliance.net) and the Premier VAR partner programme, which Channel Data introduced to the local channel in July.
