Carestream intros radiography imaging system
Medical imaging company Carestream Health is introducing a tabletop computed radiography imaging system, writes Spie.
Billed by Carestream as an affordable, user-friendly device, the Directview Vita CR System is aimed at independent radiography practices and other multi-office medical groups, as well as veterinary and chiropractic groups.
Carestream Digital Medical Solutions president Diana Nole says: "Many facilities that install CR for the first time do not have any type of image management capabilities, so bundling our new Image Suite software with a compact, affordable CR system equips users with a fully integrated, user-friendly solution."
Xerox to unveil product upgrades
Xerox will unveil more than a dozen printing tools at Graph Expo 2010 to be held in Chicago later this year, says eWeek.
These tools include Nuvera Flex Speed, which temporarily increases engine speed as production needs dictate, and VIPP Pro Publisher, which allows users to select the clear dry ink option available on the Xerox Color 800/1000 presses in one step within Adobe InDesign.
The company will also announce two-colour management services to help print providers become more productive and consistent with Xerox digital colour devices.
Recycled material greens up offices
Buzzispace, discovered at 100% Design London, is offering colourful eco-friendly solutions; space dividers and products made from 100% recycled Pet felt, reveals Tree Hugger.
Antwerp-based Buzzispace provides products for offices. The Pet is up-cycled again and again, and the biodegradable cardboard structure inside can be returned to nature after its use, following the 'cradle to cradle' philosophy of 'waste equals food'.
Buzzispace says it offers room dividers, lampshades, self-adhesive tiles and furniture, most of which come totally flat-pack, reducing the environmental impact during transportation.
