Ascential Software Corporation, the unquestioned leader in enterprise integration, has announced Canon Inc as the latest client to deploy its DataStage enterprise integration solution.
Canon, headquartered in Tokyo, is using DataStage to help ensure the quality of every camera, Bubble Jet printer, scanner and fax machine it ships.
DataStage helped Canon quickly build a field information tracking system that collects global quality-related data, including customer comments and field reports, and provides intelligent feedback to retailers and production facilities. Canon can now produce real-time reports identifying the top five product quality issues at any time.
Canon can also use DataStage to analyse quality metrics by product, country, plant or any other user-requested variable. These capabilities enable Canon to provide customers with the highest quality products.

Ascential DataStage is a foundation product in the Ascential Enterprise Integration Suite, which combines the company`s three data integration products for data profiling (MetaRecon), data quality (Integrity) and data transformation (DataStage).
The suite supports these products on a shared platform of software services that achieves scalability through parallel processing, manages metadata, and provides any-to-any connectivity of source and target data.
The suite`s scalability is critical to high-volume and real-time data integration, allowing customers to tap an unlimited number of processors through parallel processing-based data integration.
