Managed service provider (MSP), Outscale, has opted for CA Technologies global award winning cloud platform, CA Applogic(r), to deliver a new set of cloud services.
Outscale is developing an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) offering built on the CA platform. It is also rolling out a SaaS enabler program to help independent software vendors (ISVs) deliver traditional server-based applications in a Software as a Service model. Outscale's ISV customers will use the CA AppLogic application wrapping feature to create easily reusable and flexible virtual business services.
In addition, Outscale will provide ISVs with dedicated consulting services, helping them to choose cloud solutions best suited to meet their specific business needs, while offering scalable, rapidly provisioned private or hybrid clouds in several data centers.
"Outscale will launch a new set of services this fall and the CA AppLogic platform's core functionality will help us gain a competitive edge in the MSP marketplace," says Outscale president, Laurent Seror. "The CA AppLogic platform offers much more than cloud infrastructure. With its user-friendly interface, customers will be able to quickly build and deploy SaaS applications in a matter of hours instead of days or months, serving new customers and generating brand new revenue streams."
Outscale's unique open, heterogeneous model will provide full interoperability with major cloud operators. For ISVs already working on an Amazon Web Services infrastructure, for example, they will be able to transfer applications seamlessly to the CA AppLogic platform.
Gary Lawrence, MD CA Southern Africa, says the innovation, expertise, and dynamism demonstrated by the Outscale team will be instrumental in driving the company's success in the MSP market.
Lawrence notes that whilst there is a lot of hype surrounding cloud, CA is one of the few companies on the globe actively implementing successful cloud solutions.
"This is another exciting announcement following on the heels of CA's AppLogic platform winning the Cloud Computing World Series Award for Best Cloud Platform, earlier this year," says Lawrence.
"CA is very excited to add Outscale to its rapidly-growing roster of MSPs using this platform. This partnership endorses CA's position as a leader in the cloud domain."
