Bytes Connect has been named as Alcatel-Lucent's top Middle East and Africa (EMEA) partner for 2011 at an awards ceremony held in Dublin, Ireland.
A division of Bytes Technology Group South Africa, Bytes Connect offers a full range of ICT services, including IP and legacy voice solutions, unified and mobile communications, contact centres, and a comprehensive range of pre- and post-sales services, among others.
“Bytes Connect won the award as a result of achieving an impressive 246% growth in data during the course of 2011, making it the top data performer in the EMEA region,” says Ravin Naidu, Regional Director, Enterprise South and East Africa, Alcatel-Lucent.
“As a result of its excellent performance, Alcatel-Lucent has shared in Bytes Connect's growth and success during that time. In addition, Bytes Connect has maintained an overall growth rate of 18% over the past two years. Together, we have been able to construct a strategic roadmap and provide innovative solutions for our customers in South Africa,” he says. “On top of that, the company has the highest Alcatel-Lucent skills levels in the entire EMEA region.”
Naidu notes that Bytes Connect has full partner accreditation across Alcatel-Lucent's entire company product portfolio. In addition to the corporate award, Johan Otto, an account manager at Bytes Connect, was named the EMEA Top Performer for Data.
“This is an important award for us as it recognises the quality of the communications solutions we are building in partnership with a global technology leader,” says Andrew Holden, MD of Bytes Connect. “Our services and solutions are built on Alcatel-Lucent platforms and the successes we have had, as well as the levels of customer satisfaction we have achieved, indicate the excellent performance and reliability of this technology.”
Alcatel-Lucent's partner awards applaud the contributions by key business partners across the EMEA region and acknowledge top distributors, resellers, system integrators and selected areas of excellent performance. The company's enterprise business has grown by more than 20% in the last year, an achievement bolstered by its partner network, which spans operations in more than 130 countries.
“Our partnership with Alcatel-Lucent has enabled us to help customers align their business objectives with technology solutions, and to build, deliver and support all their ICT requirements,” says Holden. “We are delighted to have won this award and we look forward to continuing our successful partnership into the future.”
