Hein Wagner, a blind athlete, adventurer, motivational speaker and BSG brand ambassador, will be bringing motivation to our clients during August.
Wagner has already presented motivational talks at BSG's Cape Town and Johannesburg regional offices, which were a roaring success, and is sure to continue to engender a sense that any challenge can indeed be overcome, when he facilitates a series of events with key BSG clients.
Wagner's story continues to inspire and motivate many who interact with him. He recently became the first blind person to complete the ABSA Cape Epic (the Tour de France of mountain biking): 707km of mountain biking, spread over eight days and climbing more than 15 000 metres!
He also completed Ironman 70.3 in East London earlier this year. In February 2010, he set a lap record around the East London Grand Prix circuit. And that's not even half of his achievements! Wagner has broken the World Blind Land Speed Record, setting a new record at 243km; he played for the South African blind cricket team that won the World Cup; and he has completed the Cape to Rio Yacht Race. Wow, what an inspiration!
Wagner's relationship with BSG began when he competed in the highly successful BSG Energade Triseries back in 2008 (refer to www.multisport.co.za for further information about the series).
