BonitaSoft intros BOS BPM

BonitaSoft, a provider of open source business process management (BPM) solutions, has released its latest version of Bonita Open Solution (BOS), which is a signature stand-alone BPM suite, writes SYS-CON Media.

The new BOS 5.5 incorporates decision tables allowing users to define their business rules without relying on an external system. It also features document management, offering customers native tools for managing documents within processes.

According to PR Newswire, BonitaSoft will integrate eXo's xCMIS technology into the BOS 5.5, while the new eXo Platform for Bonita will offer BOS users advanced content management capabilities, an enhanced user experience, and seamless integration with existing workflows.

eXo Platform for Bonita provides customers with complete enterprise content management capabilities; support for CMIS allows eXo to easily plug into an existing implementation of Bonita Document Management solution.

The BOS 5.5 can be integrated with an eXo-based portal as a set of gadgets. Users can view and interact with the workflows assigned to them, monitor process execution updates in activity streams, or create new business processes - all directly from their social intranet homepage.
