Accounting and business management software solutions specialist Lorge has been contracted by shared services company Bold Context to implement, service, support and maintain Sage ERP X3 software.
Bold Context offers small and medium-sized businesses robust, scalable and cost-efficient back-office services in a shared service centre format. In essence, SMEs now have access to large company systems at small company prices.
These SMEs will have a hosted solution offering extensive functionality relating to accounting, debtors, creditors, sales, purchasing, stock, manufacturing, reporting and business intelligence.
“The cloud-based ERP offers many advantages for start-up businesses,” commented Keith Fenner, Vice-President - Sales for Sage Africa. "They are able to benefit from lower infrastructure costs, easy software deployment and seamless scalability.”
Martin van Blerk, Services Director of Lorge's Sage ERP X3 division, which was awarded Best Achiever for Sage ERP X3 in 2011, said the solution offers Bold Context and its customers a full suite of modules to fully support its needs and drive the business. Developments per customer are made easy with the SAFE (Sage Application Framework for the Enterprise) architecture, and data is securely housed in the respective customer's folder.
“The needs of Bold Context can only be met by an ERP accounting software package that has strong functionality and features backed by reliable software services. A fundamental need is to ensure Bold Context and its customers have immediate and ongoing access to critical business information across all remote locations,” added Van Blerk.
For an expanding business, creating a new company is easy and effective in Sage. Van Blerk said the system currently caters for Bold Context's needs and the software is also geared to accommodate expansion into countries throughout Africa and the globe, offering a selection of legislations and languages.
