Identifying the South African consumers' increasing need for fixed broadband solutions in the home, BitCo and a power-house trio from Chatz Connect have partnered to offer a completely ADSL-free option for premium uncapped broadband to be available in every Chatz Connect store nationwide.
The Chatz Connect franchise has dominated the cellular market for over 15 years. In this time they have provided expert service and advice to mobile consumers throughout South Africa. Three directors within the group were quick to identify SA's increasing thirst for data and broadband solutions. Jarryd Chatz of Chatz Connect sought BitCo, knowing this supplier is capable of fulfilling its markets' wants and needs.
Jarryd Chatz (Sales and Marketing Director for Chatz Connect at the time) has built his career literally from store-level to head office and taken keen notes along the way. This rich database of consumer behaviour knowledge has bestowed him with a formidable sense of market trends and movements. His decision to engage with BitCo as a home broadband supplier to the Chatz Connect retail outlets was then barely questioned by Chatz group CEO and the financial director.
Months of back and forth negotiations followed. Once concluded new BitCo shareholder, Jarryd Chatz, moved over to BitCo as Business Development Director. His vision to create more competition in the home broadband space now in action.
The final home broadband offering works as follows. Fully uncapped, Internet packages of either 2, 5 or 10 mega bit per second downloads with minimum 1megabit per second upload speeds. Internet junkies have already set forums on the net a blaze with reviews of the BitCo product. The real high praise coming from online gamers, a rare but rather prestigious occurrence for any Internet service provider.
Home users can also benefit from fixed line telephony services from BitCo as well. VOIP or analogue lines are available on top of the Internet services for a nominal monthly cost. Calls to mobile numbers are as low as 86 cents per second and all calls are billed per second form the first second.
Working alongside BitCo Sales Director Michael Colin, Chatz is wasting no time in rolling out the BitCo premium uncapped wireless home broadband products to Chatz Connect outlets around South Africa. Together, they aim to complete the roll-out by the end of 2015.
The retail roll-out has been carefully planned to accompany the growth of BitCo's Metro Ethernet Network. This includes lighting fibre across South Africa as a backhaul solution from the additional (40-plus) high-sites BitCo will build by the end of 2014.
