BEA provides governance technology for Sabre Holdings` service-oriented architecture

BEA AquaLogic Enterprise Repository 3.0 supports Sabre`s move to the next generation of service-oriented architecture (SOA).

BEA Systems (NASDAQ: BEAS), a world leader in enterprise infrastructure software, today announced that Sabre Holdings, a global leader in travel services, relies on BEA AquaLogic Enterprise Repository 3.0 to govern Sabre Web Services, which manages 36 million daily transactions for air, car, hotel and other travel accommodations.

Sabre provides travel and transportation information to more than 50 000 travel agencies, major travel suppliers, Fortune 500 companies and travel Web sites around the globe.

Sabre deployed BEA AquaLogic Enterprise Repository as its central repository for managing, governing and distributing Sabre Web Services to its worldwide network of travel customers. In addition, BEA AquaLogic Enterprise Repository is helping Sabre manage its entire inventory of internal services, components, frameworks and other software assets.
