BCX has launched BCX Exa, a digital division of the ICT services company focused on helping local organisations to create digital capabilities, including setting up an online presence and offering digital solutions.
The new digital wing, which forms part of BCX’s IT solutions portfolio, consists of a selected team of software engineers and other digital experts who will focus on offering services such as digital advisory and consulting, software engineering and integration, digital automation and development, data insights and intelligence as well as digital resourcing.
Using a collaborative approach which leverages BCX’s IT and telco capabilities, BCX Exa seeks to guide businesses in their digital transformation journeys to deliver specific, optimal business outcomes, according to the company.
Speaking at the BCX Exa virtual launch this morning, BCX CEO Jonas Bogoshi noted the new digital division will provide local organisations with go-to-market solutions, as well as digital journeys that map out processes and solutions for integration and connectedness within a business.

The new division, which has been operating for a few months, has been received with enthusiasm as local organisations increasingly look to offer their clients digital services and solutions to navigate the unprecedented challenges posed by the COVID-19 crisis, according to BCX.
BCX Exa co-created the COVIDConnect solution for the Department of Health. The contact tracing technology aims to fast-track the containment of COVID-19, by using several data sources from laboratories, healthcare facilities and a WhatsApp screening service to locate primary infected individuals as well as close contacts.
In addition, the BCX Exa team built Yep!, Telkom Business’s digital marketplace and e-commerce platform to service small and medium enterprises.
Also speaking at the launch, Renesh Buldeo, managing executive at BCX Exa, pointed out that as an organisation at the forefront of emerging technologies such as robotic process automation, intelligent integration and cloud native software engineering, the division has adopted a modern approach, delivered with an entrepreneurial spirit.

BXC recently announced it is building a Security Operations Centre (SOC) in the vicinity of its Midrand data centre, as it repositions for the cyber security market in SA.
The ICT firm has established a partnership with European multinational information technology giant Atos, to help South African companies fight cyber crime using quantum computing, big data analytics and automation capabilities from the SOC.
