Autopage Cellular, an independent cellular telephony provider, has appointed John Ashcroft as its business development director.
Ashcroft is tasked with growing the company`s subscriber base, maximising its reach and developing new services and solutions.
"Autopage is entering a new stage of development as the market evolves. Ashcroft will help it to grow with selected initiatives and events designed to foster sustainable, consumer friendly growth in the marketplace," says Stephen Blewett, MD of Autopage Cellular.
Ashcroft holds an honours degree in applied statistics from Liverpool University. He has over 11 years` experience in the telecommunications industry, specifically in business development, IT and marketing, and has worldwide experience in the mobile marketplace, the company says.
He recently served as commercial director of Direct Communications International - a UK-based service provider and mobile content aggregator, where he was responsible for the development and delivery of content solutions, 3G services and customer acquisition, says Autopage.
