Autonomy Corporation, a global leader in infrastructure software for the enterprise, was recently named a Leader in the March 2011 report by Forrester Research, titled: "The Forrester Wave Message Archiving Software, Q1 2011".

Autonomy scored the highest in the Current Offering category, which includes message capture, range of content types supported, message management, supervision, scalability, security and deployment flexibility, as well as in the Vision and Product Strategy and Services categories.

The Forrester Wave profile on Autonomy states:

"Autonomy Consolidated Archive offers the most complete product evaluated and it receives top marks for message capture, range of content types supported, message management, and supervision functionality. The vendor's rich set of deployment models and depth of integrated eDiscovery functionality contribute to Autonomy's leadership position.

"Autonomy's strong set of flexible message archiving offerings and first-class legal risk mitigation support contribute to its leadership position.”

"The tremendous success of Autonomy's Consolidated Archive is the result of our unique vision for a next-generation archiving solution. We are very pleased with the high scores we received in the Message Archiving Wave report," says Mike Sullivan, CEO of Autonomy Protect. "Only Autonomy can automatically apply governance policies by understanding the meaning of all types of human friendly information, including audio, video and social media content. With Autonomy Consolidated Archive as the anchoring technology, organisations can drive their critical compliance, eDiscovery, and Records Management initiatives directly from the archive, and make the data available via an on-premise, cloud-based, hybrid, or appliance-based approach."

Autonomy also recently acquired Iron Mountain's digital division, including archiving, eDiscovery and online backup.

Says Chris Hathaway, Director at Soarsoft, a distributor of Autonomy solutions: “These developments bolster the strength of the Autonomy brand, providing local companies with confidence in the company and the technology it delivers. This will also further increase their market share and dominance of this market.”
