ASUS the leading legend in graphic cards

Johannesburg, 11 Jul 2007

Corex, one of South Africa's leading computer components distribution companies, together with ASUS, have released the new EAH2600 and 2400 graphic cards.

These graphic cards differ from the rest because the technology built into the cards caters for users who are looking for entry-level and mid-range graphical options.

ASUS' design is smart, advanced and inventive and geared towards giving avid gamers an adrenaline rush from the comfort of their chairs.

Featuring the latest generation of GPUs - the ATI HD2600XT, ATI HD2600PRO, ATI HD2400XT and the ATI HD2400PRO from AMD, these graphics cards are designed to bring feature-rich DirectX 10 gaming and smooth multimedia playback while consuming less power with their new power-efficient 65nm processors.

The EAH2600 and 2400 cards utilise a new generation of cooling fans to effectively dissipate heat build-up. With 25% more surface area, the heatsinks make for better cooling. In comparison to the generic 2600PRO DDR2 and 2600XT DDR3 graphic cards, temperatures for the EAH2600 and the EAH2600XT can be lowered by 20oC and 10oC respectively.

The exclusive fan design lowers the GPU temperatures for enhanced gaming performance.

The Splendid Video Intelligence Technology is image enabled. The ASUS graphic cards are finely-tuned to deliver vibrant visual representations in conditions most favourable to the human eye. Therefore, watching a movie on a PC is as good as on a top-of-the-line consumer television set.

Not only do the EAH2600 and 2400 support feature-rich DirectX 10 gaming, but they also come with the exclusive ASUS Gamer OSD. For the non-gaming fanatics, OSD is really awesome as it allows users to record live gaming action and broadcast it live over the Internet with ease. OSD is able to deliver real-time over-clocking, which makes the computer's processor run faster than its stock speed in order to gain more performance. Not only that, there are chat options during game-play - allowing users real-time performance upgrades when they require it.

All in all, the EAH2600 graphic card puts the oomph back into computer gaming.
