As part of its vision to be a highly differentiated technology solutions provider, Altron Systems Integration announced that one of the organisation’s major goals has been achieved. The company has recently adopted a cloud-first approach where we want to ensure that the right workloads are placed into the right architectures.
Danie Van Graan, Cloud Practice Lead of Altron Systems Integration, says the company aims to develop cloud-native solutions supported in multi, hybrid, private and hyper-scale cloud environments. “At the moment, we are leveraging our experience in data and analytics, application development, security, infrastructure and operations to build hybrid and multi-cloud solutions.”
Van Graan goes on to explain that Altron has transitioned these practices to adopt its aforementioned cloud-first approach. “Trend research suggests that around 88% of South African organisations are adopting a hybrid cloud approach to their operations. It is for this reason that we have been working to offer the best possible solution for these businesses.”
He adds that Altron also realises the importance of upskilling its employees in cloud technologies and delivering architecture, implementation, and support services in very specific cloud technologies.
“Our journey started two years ago with Amazon Web Services, Inc (AWS) and we have subsequently reached the AWS Advanced Consulting Partner status. Altron has delivered several projects where they have successfully migrated customer workloads to AWS.
"Many of these projects included a complete refactoring of systems using AWS native services and migrating these into the bigger hybrid cloud environment. We support our customers with workload placement strategies, cloud migration and integration, security, service and cost management, as well as cloud exit strategies. We deliver these services across different platforms which includes traditional IT environments as well as private and hyper-scale cloud environments,” Van Graan concludes.
Altron Systems Integration is a specialist systems integrator, leveraging its intellectual property, together with world-class technology and leading practices to assess, architect, modernise and manage sustainable ICT-based business solutions, with a single ambition to accelerate your business’s success.
