Software services and ventures company, Alacrity, has expanded its presence both in Gauteng and Cape Town as the company experiences tremendous growth across all areas of business.
“Following on from the merger of MagmaTec and Comprehend IT, which prompted the formation and rebrand to Alacrity, it was always the plan to combine staff into single offices in each region,” comments Brian Ford, CEO.
“We're already seeing major benefit in how integrated the company has become throughout our operations and in delivering client solutions; the move to larger premises also came just in time to cater for additional staff that have come with recent business acquired through various support contracts.” The Cape Town office is now situated at Waterview Park, Century City, known as the IT hub of Cape Town.
Similarly, Alacrity's Gauteng region is seeing an upswing in IT activity by the large corporates, hampered only by the scarcity of skilled IT professionals, especially software developers in the country. “The diversity in our model and the solutions we offer has been well received by CIOs and IT managers who not only need assistance in defining a technology strategy, but more importantly, in delivering on their mandate,” adds Ford.
“Alacrity has extensive experience in merging both legacy and emerging technology systems, which is especially relevant for companies going through mergers and acquisitions; in continuing to support legacy systems still required to operate; and in using the latest development technologies to integrate with systems or create products.”
Alacrity's Gauteng operation is now based at Fourways Golf Park, overlooking a small mashie course for the golf enthusiasts, and will be introduced to clients at a 'by invitation only' gathering on 9 June 2011. For more information on the event, e-mail events@alacrity.co.za.
