Agfa-Gevaert has received an EUR18.5 million (R245 million) grant from the Ontario government to aid the company's Canadian research and development (R&D) operations in Toronto and Waterloo, reports eHealth Europe.
The grant will support a total of more than EUR125 million (R1.7 billion) investment by the Agfa HealthCare in its Ontario operations, creating 100 new positions and re-investing in 276 existing jobs.
The total investment is designed to centralise and streamline the company's R&D and regional operations, which will serve both North American and global requirements.
NHP signs TriZetto Group
The TriZetto Group has won a five-year contract from Neighbourhood Health Plan (NHP) to equip the company with a hosted model of its Clinical CareAdvance care management system and provide application hosting services for the insurer's continued use of its QNXT enterprise administration system, states Enterprise Applications.
NHP chose TriZetto's Clinical CareAdvance system to manage its members' acute and chronic illnesses and to help improve health status across its member population.
The healthcare IT services provider says by managing and hosting the Clinical CareAdvance and QNXT systems, NHP can focus on more strategic IT tasks while TriZetto assumes day-to-day technology management.
