Infor, a leading provider of beautiful business applications specialised by industry and built for the cloud, today announced that Angel Bakery, the largest bakery in Israel, will deploy Infor M3 as their new ERP system. Project implementation will be led by Intentia Israel, which represents the Infor M3 solution in Israel, and the new system is expected to be live by December 2016.
Infor M3 was selected from nine leading solutions from international and Israeli companies who competed on the project. Infor M3 was chosen after proving its deep bakery industry functionality, wide international expertise in the sector and ability to meet the unique needs of the fresh food industry, which include the tight design of manufacturing, as well as inventory and distribution management.
"Fresh food factories, in particular bakeries, face enormous challenges like the time that it takes from the exit of product from the production line to the delivery to the consumer is very short, making the phases of design and manufacturing processes and distribution extremely important. Therefore, we chose an ERP solution that can offer us advanced design tools, which shorten the process from order to delivery, and enable sufficient management of resources and raw materials," said Niva Kalish, director of Information Technology at Angel Bakery.
"2015 was a successful year for Intentia in terms of business, and especially with customers from the food and beverage industry. Angel Bakery's selection was based both on professional expertise in the field of bakeries and thanks to the fact that Infor M3 is a pre-configured solution, which ensures a successful ERP project, conducted in a fast schedule with no compromises on quality," said Shimon Cohen, vice president of business development and strategic customers at Intentia Israel.
