A number of prominent South African ICT players will feature as keynote speakers at the third African Banking Technology Conference, at Victoria Island, Canada.
The event takes place from 6 to 7 May and is hosted by Aitec, an organisation aimed at facilitating the development of ICT in Africa.
Heading up the list of confirmed speakers at the conference is, among others, Jim Baird, MD of ATM Africa International, who will speak about the changing face of self-service in Africa.
Deon van Heerden, VP for MEA sales and SA country manager of Clickatell, will speak about the mobile device as the next-generation channel for banks.
Barry Coetzee, MD of Ivery, will speak about "the frontiers of payment technologies", while Estavao Tokata, director for First Data, will speak about prepaid and debit acceptance within the African region.
Aitec chairman Sean Moroney says the conference will offer an "extensive information and networking programme".
