Telecom expense management (TEM) is more than just an informal approach to managing and understanding organisational telecom expenditure.
This is according to Neil Buckley, owner of Apex Business Intelligence. Buckley is a speaker at the ITWeb Business Communications forum, taking place on 22 November, at The Forum, in Bryanston.
The forum will address the impact that various communication technologies have on organisations, and give decision-makers a complete overview of all the options and strategies available to them.
Buckley will discuss why TEM is a must-have business tool for any organisation by looking at common trends and shortfalls that exist within South African telecom environments. He will also illustrate the business benefits of TEM.
TEM needs a foundation for creating, managing and sustaining a cost-effective telecom environment, he says.
There are five to 10 components specific to South African organisations that Buckley believes every company should have in place to create this environment, which he will discuss in depth at the forum.
