Founder, A2D24
A software engineer with a Master’s in Technology Management from the University of Pretoria, Muhammad Simjee ditched a career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Co to follow his heart and found A2D24, a tech firm that focuses on providing solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges.
At the helm of a juggernaut that has produced groundbreaking innovations helping millions of patients receive medication on time and introducing the world’s first Internet of Things-based point-of-sale system, among other initiatives, the accomplished entrepreneur has seen his enterprise garner a slew of awards from the likes of MTN, FNB and Standard Bank, and he was named the Sanlam Business Partners innovator of the Year.
Equally passionate about technological advancement and social upliftment, Muhammad is dead-set on putting technology into the hands of ordinary Africans. He believes that if he can dream it, he can build it – and the dreams are coming thick and fast.
