Rashika Ramlal is the Amazon Web Services (AWS) country leader for the public sector in South Africa. Rashika spearheads the overall AWS public sector strategy by digitally transforming customers to adopt cloud and next-generation services for effectiveness, efficiency and innovation in the delivery of government, education, healthcare and space operations. Rashika holds more than 15 years ICT & leadership experience, and has attained multiple international degrees & diplomas, passing summa cum laude. A Thought Leader in ICT and Technology, Ramlal counts BCX, SENTECH and Telkom, where she held multiple leadership roles, amongst her former employers. Successfully starting-up, establishing & leading Telkom’s Convergence business to a multi-billion rand portfolio, within 3 years, Ramlal also positioned Telkom as a leader in the SMME arena, accounting for 293k small business customers. In 2018, Rashika was appointed as the Chief Technology and Information Officer (CTIO) at SENTECH where she helped diversify the company from a purely media and broadcasting focus to an ICT services provider, delivering broadband and other ICT services to the public sector. Amongst her many accolades is being recognised and awarded as one of the top 5 leaders in South Africa (ICT category) - a national, industry-wide award appointed to only 5 people in leadership positions in a particular industry who are endorsed as outstanding in their achievements & contribute in an inspirational manner to the future of our nation – South Africa.
