Brendan Patterson is the Vice President of Product Management at WatchGuard Technologies, with responsibility for the Fireware operating system, hardware, security services, and Wi-Fi. With over 20 years of experience in security and networking technologies, he has led the NGFW (Next-Generation Firewall) vendor to add new capabilities for advanced malware detection and SD-WAN (Software-Defined-WAN) networking into the product line. Prior to WatchGuard, Brendan was Vice President of Marketing and Product Management at The PowerTech Group, the leader in enterprise security solutions for IBM mid-range servers.

Brendan has a master’s degree in the Management of Technology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Massachusetts, and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Ireland.
