Carla Ralph started out as a secretary and worked in the corporate industry for 10 years. She then managed her own training company, Interactive Learning & Technologies, from 2004 to 2010. She was approached to work for Adobe Systems South Africa as the company’s solutions consultant for its Digital Media Division responsible for sub-Saharan Africa, from 2010 to 2020. During this time, she was promoted to senior solutions consultant and covered a wide number of solutions, namely the full Creative Cloud, Document Cloud, Adobe Sign as well as e-Learning.

In March 2020, Ralph started her own business, Magenta SA. It is the company's mission to drive a solution-driven approach through job-specific, customised training and consulting services. These will focus on mainly on Adobe’s creative products, including: Design & print solutions, UX/UI design, Web content creation, photography editing workflows, e-Learning content creation and Adobe’s electronic signing solutions (including integration). Also offered is customised onsite/offsite or online training specific to the end-user’s industry and job role on software such as Adobe, Apple’s iWork, Apple OS, Microsoft Office 365 (including advanced Excel interactive dashboards) and Windows 10.

Over the years prior to working for Adobe, Ralph acquired her Adobe Certified Instructor, Adobe Certified Expert and Print Specialist certifications, was an Adobe Community Professional and, in 2009, was awarded “Best Adobe Certified Trainer”. She is also a CompTIA CTT+ Certified Trainer, a registered assessor with the EDTP&SETA (The Education, Training and Development Practices – Sector Education and Training Authority). In 2006, she became a registered member of the SAQA National Learner Records Database, boasting over 10 years’ experience within the creative industry.

Ralph was instrumental in the establishment of the InDesign and Adobe User Groups in Johannesburg and assisted in setting these up in numerous other African countries.

She was the design and layout artist of several books that have been published locally. She has also developed e-learning content for numerous organisations over the years.

She enjoys speaking at live events, as this gives her an opportunity to showcase her passion for sharing knowledge.

In her spare time, Ralph is a holistic therapist specialising in colour therapy and other modalities. In 2018, she was one of the Edenvale parkrun event directors, and in 2019, she was asked to be one their event ambassadors.

Her interests include riding her Triumph motorcycle around South Africa, listening to music, reading fantasy novels, martial arts and an intense exercise workout
