Lesley Stones is a lifelong journalist who started her career by reviewing rock bands for a national UK music paper.

She worked for various regional newspapers before spending four years in Cairo, editing for Al Ahram Weekly newspaper, writing for The American Chamber of Commerce, then editing ComputerWorld Middle East for two years.

Technology writing brought her to South Africa, where she was the IT Editor at Business Day for 12 years and won 10 awards for her work.

Lesley went freelance in 2009 and now covers travel & leisure, business & IT, personality profiles and anything else that interests her. She writes for publications including Business Day, Mail & Guardian, The Daily Maverick, Beeld, Sawubona, Khuluma, Infight, Indwe and Brainstorm.
