Deputy Director of E-learning, University of Pretoria (UP)
Dolf Jordaan is Deputy Director of E-learning at the University of Pretoria (UP). He has more than 30 years of education experience, including 20 years of experience in integrating educational technology in teaching and learning and the strategic management of educational technology in Higher Education.
He provides leadership regarding the e-learning environment and policies and implements these policies and strategies within a hybrid learning environment. He is responsible for the strategic management of the educational technology ecosystem at the University.During the last few years, he has been involved in various national and international collaboration projects and facilitated numerous national and international workshops.
He presented multiple papers at national and international conferences, some based on invitation. He is also co-author of published chapters in textbooks and articles in accredited journals. His involvement in various national and international communities of practice provided valuable experience and insight into educational technology integration within Higher Education.
Dolf coordinates for more than a decade a nationwide community of Instructional Designers' practice and has done consultation work for various national and international e-learning projects. His current research focuses on the institutional integration of descriptive and predictive Big Data analytics based on his involvement in institutional strategies to up-scale the extent of data-based decision-making supporting student success strategies.
