ZeroFOX, a leader in public attack surface protection, has been announced as a Silver Sponsor for ITWeb Security Summit 2020, to be held as a virtual event from 25 to 28 August this year.
ZeroFOX is no doubt a leader in the security space, safeguarding modern organisations from ever-changing security risks across social, mobile, surface, deep and dark Web, e-mail and collaboration platforms, says Angela Mace, CRM and Events director at ITWeb.
“We are delighted to have them on board. As the threat landscape continues to evolve rapidly, ZeroFOX employs diverse data sources and artificial intelligence-based analysis, to identify and remediate targeted phishing attacks, credential compromise, data exfiltration, brand hijacking, executive and location threats and more. The company’s vast knowledge and experience will be a tremendous value-add for the Security Summit,” she adds.
In light of this year's coronavirus pandemic, virtual summit events are perhaps more critical than usual, says Gabe Goldhirsh, vice-president of MEA/APAC Sales from ZeroFOX. “The technology and security communities have a long history of fellowship, mentorship and camaraderie through conferences, networking and training events.”
However, with most in-person events cancelled due to public health concerns, virtual functions are the natural, next best option for these communities to provide similar opportunities, he adds.
“Beyond that, not everyone is able or capable of attending physical events; virtual alternatives help to ensure that these individuals are not without their opportunities to contribute and benefit from community interaction and learning.”
During the summit, ZeroFOX will cover two different topics. “Firstly, we will review a taxonomy of digital threats, giving practitioners the ability to not only organise and classify the risks and attacks they face across the digital landscape, but also to help them evaluate any related strengths, gaps and weaknesses in their current security programme. Secondly, we will cover some practical advice and anecdotal stories about third-party platform takedowns,” Goldhirsh explains.
This year, because ITWeb Security Summit 2020 is being held as a virtual event, delegates will be able to access the content from the comfort of their own homes or offices, cutting out travel time, and will be able to pop in and out of sessions as they wish, without disrupting anyone.
“They can juggle work deadlines with the sessions that appeal to them the most, and do not need to choose between sessions as all conference materials and recordings can be accessed online,” Mace concludes.
