StarLink, the fastest growing true value-added distributor (VAD) in the Middle East, Turkey and Africa (META) region, today announced it has signed a distribution agreement with BlackBerry for Middle East and Africa. Under the agreement, StarLink will offer its reseller community an integrated software platform that addresses the entire enterprise with an unparalleled standard of security.

Market demand for security is shifting from the network of computers to the network of endpoints. "These endpoints represent the enterprise of things (EOT), which is a collection of devices, computers, sensors, trackers, equipment and other connected 'things' within the enterprise."

BlackBerry is addressing EOT with its BlackBerry Secure platform, which is a comprehensive suite of software and services that helps companies manage and secure their devices and connected things, as well as communications for all messaging and file types.

"With mobile endpoints becoming easy targets, organisations need to step up and adopt secure and comprehensive solutions to safeguard their digital assets," says Nidal Othman, Managing Director, StarLink.

"BlackBerry's secure and trusted enterprise software solutions and services are an invaluable addition to our distribution portfolio. It will strengthen our go-to-market strategy and enable us to deliver end-to-end secure communications and collaboration solutions that will help our channel partners grow their businesses." He also added: "This year at Gitex 2018, we look forward to hosting BlackBerry alongside StarLink and facilitate our partners and customers with an opportunity to meet with the BlackBerry team and know more about their products and solutions."

"We continue to invest in strategic partnerships with industry leaders, such as StarLink, that allow us to enhance our channel partner ecosystem," said Florian Bienvenu, SVP EMEA, BlackBerry. "Through this partnership, we aim to create growth for our partners in the MENA region while giving customers wider access to BlackBerry Secure, our leading suite of enterprise solutions with world-class support, helping organisations advance their mobility strategies."

As part of the BlackBerry Secure platform, StarLink will now be able to offer its reseller community the following products:

* BlackBerry Workspaces: A leading secure EFSS solution, enabling users to share, edit and control their files on every device. BlackBerry Workspaces embeds digital rights management (DRM) protection in files, so the content remains secure everywhere it goes, even after files are shared outside the firewall.

* BlackBerry Dynamics: Provides the foundation for secure enterprise mobility by offering an advanced, mature and tested container for mobile apps. BlackBerry Dynamics is designed to eliminate the risk of data leakage by delivering proven security at the app level. It is also flexible enough to support a wide and ever-changing set of apps, workflows and business processes.

* BlackBerry AtHoc: Protects millions of people and thousands of organisations around the world. BlackBerry AtHoc provides a seamless and reliable exchange of critical information among organisations, their people and devices.

The BlackBerry Enterprise Partner Program is designed to help partners navigate the ever-changing mobile business environment through secure mobile business solutions for their people, processes and data. It helps partners gain new competencies and capabilities that will enable them to meet and exceed market demand, by ensuring partners are well equipped to successfully design, architect, implement and support BlackBerry solutions.
