Local distributor of intelligence software, Corr-Serve, will be demonstrating new features of its cyber analytics solution, ExtraHop, at the ITWeb Security Summit next month in Cape Town and Johannesburg.
ExtraHop analyses all network interactions in real-time and applies advanced machine learning to help investigate threats, ensure the delivery of critical applications, and protect organisations' investment in the cloud.
The most recent additions to the product include more control over detections and provide more control and more context to resolve potential problems.
Detections provide invaluable information on the network and device behaviours, but without control, cyber security solutions often provide too much information, wasting invaluable time when facing a cyber attack.
Wade Gomes, sales director of Corr-Serve, explains: "ExtraHop 7.6 offers more options that let you control what you see. By reducing noise, you improve visibility to find and investigate the security or performance detections that matter to you."
The new functionality also allows for detections to quickly be filtered and triaged, providing details about potential attack backgrounds, risk factors and mitigation options. Further automations allow reports to be scheduled and sent to stakeholders who don't have access to ExtraHop appliances, making monitoring easier and according to a preferred timeline.
ITWeb Security Summit is southern Africa's definitive conference and expo for information security, IT and business professionals. The 14th annual ITWeb Security Summit, to be staged at the Southern Sun Cape Sun, Cape Town on 23 May and the Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg, from 28-29 May, will be a high-profile conference and business exhibition featuring top international, African and local speakers delivering key insights across three focused tracks, interactive workshops and in-depth training courses.
The event will demystify emerging cyber security strategies in AI, blockchain, IOT, DevSecOps and more, and give delegates an understanding of how to increase their businesses' cyber resiliency.
