Microsoft is calling for applications for its financial services industry (FSI) hackathon, themed 'AI for FSI'.

The hackathon aims to facilitate the creation of innovative prototypes that leverages AI and machine learning services in the Azure cloud.

According to the company, this is a great opportunity for veterans and newcomers to Azure cloud to showcase their talents and build something innovative.

Microsoft is calling for participants.

Each team will need to create a presentation that demonstrates their thinking and perform a live
demonstration of their working prototype.

The prototypes will be judged based on specific criteria.

All prototypes and ideas generated at the event remain the property of the participating teams. Microsoft is
only interested in the usage for its AI platforms not participants' intellectual property.

The hackathon will take place on 15 to 16 May, with deadlines for submissions on 11 April. Successful
proposals will be notified via email on 15 April 2019, and will include the presentation overview of the brief.
