LSD announces the launch of the LSDtrip, a fully managed and engineered cloud-native accelerator leveraging a foundation of containerisation, Kubernetes and open source toolsets, with the aim of helping businesses adopt cloud-native technologies. This announcement comes shortly on the heels of LSD becoming a member of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) and a Kubernetes-Certified Service Provider (KCSP).
The LSDtrip is an engineered framework to accelerate the adoption of cloud-native, focusing on containerisation, automation, observability, streaming, security and connect to ensure companies digitally transform and remain competitive. Being a fully managed service also ensures an expert team is on hand to deliver 24/7 support, assist with onboarding and takes care of your day two operations.
“LSD has been involved with Kubernetes since version one almost six years ago and over this time, we realised that clients were experiencing many of the same problems. We put our heads together and created the LSDtrip to solve these problems, with our main focus being to accelerate digital transformation by adopting and setting them off on their cloud-native journey. We can accelerate your cloud-native journey, on-premises or in the cloud, from months to days,” says Deon Stroebel, LSD’s head of cloud.
The process kicks off with a cloud-native readiness evaluation called the LSDmap and is followed by the rapid creation of the Kubernetes-based development platform LSDcontainer for the clients. From there, many of the cloud-native components that weren’t previously available to clients become a reality, like automation and gitops, observability, data streaming and more.
