UK-based contact centre and business process outsourcing (BPO) services provider Woven has bought SA-based BYC Aqua Solutions, a provider of call centre solutions, for an undisclosed amount.

Founded in 2002, in Cape Town, BYC Aqua Solutions specialises in outsourced quality, coaching and software solutions.

The company leverages its quality assessment programme to help contact centre businesses navigate clients’ needs and improve delivery.

BYC Aqua Solutions operates in and serves the UK, SA, Australia, Singapore and Indonesia. The company has 110 employees.

“The acquisition of BYC Aqua Solutions continues the growth of our business. It expands our suite of products and services for the contact centre and customer experience industry, and in combination with our other technology, the acquisition will provide game-changing technology to provide a real alternative for the industry,” says Cyril Molitor, CEO of Woven.

“Through this acquisition of BYC Aqua Solutions, we are expanding Woven’s global presence and capabilities to offer our clients insights and solutions to transform and digitise customer experiences, improve quality and meet increasingly stringent compliance needs.”

Molitor points out this transaction underscores the progress Woven has made on its strategy to grow through acquisitions of companies that present innovative and disruptive solutions.

“BYC Aqua Solutions brings decades of experience and will provide Woven with the strategic capabilities we need to scale our business and further develop our infrastructure.”

The acquisition follows the recent acquisition in the UK of tPoint, a technology services provider.

“Along with the acquisition of BYC Aqua Solutions, this demonstrates Woven’s deep ambitions to disrupt the contact centre through people-powered by technology, investing in better customer experiences through innovative technology,” says Molitor.

Woven says the acquisition of tPoint has augmented its commitment and ability to deliver a new service reality.

“On behalf of the Woven leadership team, I would like to welcome Jackie Naughton and her team to the Woven family. Under Jackie’s leadership, BYC Aqua Solutions has established itself as a highly-respected business with global reach. We look forward to working with Jackie and the BYC Aqua Solutions team as we continue to grow and execute on our strategy.”

Naughton, CEO of BYC Aqua Solutions, says: “Our team at BYC Aqua Solutions has worked hard to build a company with a stellar reputation as one of the best providers of outsourced quality solutions. As part of the Woven family, we now look forward to the benefits of strong organic growth, sustained by Woven’s commitment to our mission and value proposition.

“We are excited to be a part of the Woven family as we expand our portfolio, increase our geographic reach and continue to build our customer relationships.”

“We will continue to grow the SA business through our sales and marketing plans for new products and services, alongside our already very successful products and services,” says Molitor.

“We are very confident of these growth plans for South African clients as well as for international clients. In line with our strategy of growth through acquisition, Woven will continue to prospect for businesses that bring differentiation and disruption to the BPO industry,” he concludes.
