She brings this knowledge base, and conversational skill, to all events she hosts as a moderator and programme director. Alishia has facilitated discussions, conferences, seminars and events for various companies including Discovery, Momentum Metropolitan, Deloitte and Standard Bank.
Some of her career highlights include attending and reporting from the Annual World Economic Forum in Davos and WEF Africa; the Investing in Africa Mining Indaba.
Coupled with her experience in front of the camera, Alishia serves as a Panel Discussion Moderator and Programme Director.
Alishia has been a senior news anchor at BusinessDay TV and at CNBC Africa and has presented the Africa News Report on Sky News. With over 15 years’ experience, Alishia is a skilled anchor, financial journalist, moderator and media trainer, and she has gained a wealth of experience in financial journalism.
Alishia holds a Bachelor of Journalism Degree from Rhodes University. And has completed internships at Talk Radio 702, Rapid Blue, and CNN International.
Over the years, she has interviewed Rwanda’s president Paul Kagame, American banker and former Goldman Sachs chairman and CEO Lloyd Blankfein, Former central bank governor of Nigeria Lamido Sanusi, Virgin’s Richard Branson, Minister Pravin Gordhan and Trevor Noah.
