Warren Hero is the chief information and digital officer at Webber Wetzel, a position he has held since 2018. Prior to taking on this role, he was the chief technology officer at Microsoft. He has also previously served as the chief information and operations officer at Eduloan (Fundi) and as the head of electronic governance for the Gauteng Provincial Government. He is well tenured with 3 of the 4 largest South African banks. Over the course of his career, he has been nominated by the Institute of Information Technology Professionals South Africa (IITPSA) as a finalist in the President’s awards as a Visionary CIO, acknowledged as the Enterprise CxO at AFRICACOM 2019, and served as the digital transformation advisor to His Excellency the President of Botswana.
