Dr. Fazlyn Petersen is a recognized academic and thought leader in leveraging design thinking to drive innovation and optimise processes in complex environments, including healthcare, education, and technology. She combines human-centred design with a deep understanding of technology's strategic role to help organisations realise value. Dr. Petersen’s work emphasizes the critical intersection of design thinking and digital transformation. She teaches Stanford's design thinking framework—empathise, define, ideate, prototype, and test—by embedding design thinking into innovation strategies and accelerating digital initiatives. Her research addresses the challenges of implementing design thinking for social innovation, particularly in developing mobile application prototypes aligned with Sustainable Development Goals. Her approach is a testament to how design-led innovation can promote agile development, and create a more user-centric technology landscape for organisations.
