Siobhain O’Mahony was previously the head of analytics for Investec Private Bank South Africa. As such, she managed analytics as a shared service activity, serving as a cross-functional strategist, collaborating across the management and executive teams to help shape coherent strategies and plans across all areas of the business. As head of analytics, she was responsible for overseeing quantitative and qualitative analytics, which includes market, company and industry research, as well as descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive analytics for sales and marketing, acquisitions, channel engagement, operations, product optimisation and development, rewards and loyalty optimisation, pricing and profitability management and business case development and modelling.

From February 2019 to August 2020, O’Mahony took up the role of head of My Investments at Investec, responsible for leading the build of an online investment platform. She began her career at Liberty, specialising in actuarial valuations, asset-liability modelling and management, determination of capital adequacy requirements and analyses of surplus and embedded value.

O’Mahony holds a BSc honour’s degree in actuarial science and is a fellow of both the Actuarial Society of South Africa and the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. She also serves as an independent, non-executive director on the board of the Export Credit Insurance Corporation of South Africa SOC, chairing the Risk Committee.
