Manager (ISA) Information Systems Audit, Auditor General South Africa

Siphumle Ntsokolo, CISA, ISAP (SA), is currently a manager in Information Systems Audit (ISA) at the office of the Auditor General of South Africa (AGSA) in KwaZulu-Natal, Pietermaritzburg. He is responsible for the project management and completion of IT audits under the guise of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) as well as the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA). He has over five years’ experience within the IT audit universe. He holds a post-graduate diploma in internal audit from Nelson Mandela University, and is currently enrolled for an MCom computer auditing degree through the University of Johannesburg. His research dissertation topic is: “Identifying gaps in IT auditing skills within the internal audit activity at a district municipality in KZN”.

Ntsokolo has a keen interest in business processes and how they interact with the ever-changing technology landscape, with a special emphasis on the public sector. His previous roles at FirstRand Bank and Deloitte Cyber Risk and Technology have informed the way that he views the broader technological landscape in South Africa and its impact on service provision and IT governance in South African institutions.
